CLERK/RECEPTIONIST

Duties will include:
- A rare opportunity for a unique role in a care home for elderly persons
- To deal with the public both personally and over the telephone
- To liaise with residents and members of staff
- To carry out general administrative duties such as record-keeping and and setting up filing systems
- To create posters and other literature using desk-top publishing software (Microsoft Publisher)
- To handle small amounts of cash
Requirements for the post:
- Experience in a similar setting would be advantageous
- Good computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office
- A full driving licence and own transport due to the location of the care home
- Empathy with elderly persons
- Successful applicants will be subject to an ENHANCED CRIMINAL RECORDS DISCLOSURE, which will be paid for by Sherburn House Charity

KITCHEN ASSISTANT

£6.21 per hour (basic) |
| Hours: |
27.5 hours per week (Two shift system; 8.00am-1.30pm and 2.00pm-7.30pm)
You will be expected to work 3 out of four weekends on a fixed rota.
Enhanced rates will be paid in respect of weekends and bank holidays.

- To help and support the chefs, serving food, washing dishes, keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy and other related duties
- No formal qualifications or experience are required
- Experience of working in a care setting would be an advantage
- Successful applicants will be subject to an ENHANCED CRIMINAL RECORDS DISCLOSURE, which will be paid for by Sherburn House Charity
- Protective clothing and training will be provided
